Being Your Ease, avec Edith Paul

Oaths and pledges, binding contracts, and so on….

I sense that I've been unconsciously dwelling on this issue of oaths and pledges, whether they be to a nation, an institution or to a person, for some time. Be it loyalty, allegiance, or whatever.

While searching the web about this topic,  I've come across that very interesting video about 'Les serments de Strasbourg' by Claude Hagège, the famous French linguist.

Obviously, the whole series of videos should be watched!

Tolkien's Middle Earth Peoples

While reading my TTTE Class book, I felt connected to the energy of the Elves and Hobbits. The same energy as that of nature's entities: elves, dwarves, hobbits. Not that of trolls, goblins, or orcs though.
Most interested by the Fallohides.

Definitely struck by their reputation as 'speakers' because of their gift for language (and singing ?!), and their adventurous spirit, in contrast with the other Hobbit types. As well as by their friendly behavior towards the Elves, their love of trees and the joyful ease they felt in woodland.

Taking it in my stride

As I was emerging from sleep this morning, I distinctly heard the word Walhalla.
I followed the lead. And came across the Walkyries. Corpse goddesses, in the shape of carrion-eating ravens or carrion-crows, and riding wolves on the battlefields. Also seeresses.
Wow.

The Walhalla, as defined by the CNTRL

Encapsulates it all. Attractions and rejections. The good and the bad. Wolves, crows and ravens, the sky, woods and forests, flesh and blood, offals or giblets and bones, riding with no boundaries, fighting and torturing, Scotland and Scandinavian countries, and so much else.

But not only. I also came across Wilhelm Herschel, a famous astronomer who lived in the 18th century. Born and raised in Germany, he later migrated to England. Again, wow.

What else is possible?

Back on track, or not....

Had completely forgotten about this Of Note blog. Found it across my track again, thanks to Melissa Pritchard's blogposts. How does it get better than that?

So I guess that I'm going to use it to keep track of my day-to-day progress, my insights and epiphanies, whether they be linked to cycling, road or trail riding, books, films, Access Consciousness or whatever!

And to start with, this awesome series of videos of Aurelien Barrau, explaining the Universe to students at Grenoble university. I've come upon it after listening to Mille Fois Touta mesmerizing radio show on France-Culture, and have started following the lead despite my previous aversion to everything that came close to physics, sciences, the universe and the cosmos.  What else is possible?
